Apparel Order FAQ: Quotations, MOQ, Custom Packaging and Brochures

How do I get a quotation?

Send an enquiry with the product, the quantity, the size and colour breakdown, and your target market. If you have a tech pack, a reference sample or a picture, include it — the more precise the input, the fewer assumptions sit behind the number.

If your requirement is not fully defined yet, tell us that instead of guessing. A quotation built on a rough brief is still useful as a budget indication, and it is far better than receiving a precise price for the wrong garment.

What actually drives the price?

Four variables move a quotation more than anything else:

  • Fabric — composition, weight and whether it carries a functional property such as moisture management, UV protection or recycled content. Fabric is normally the largest single cost in a garment.
  • Construction and finishing — seam types, lining, interfacing, number of panels, and how much hand work the style requires.
  • Decoration — embroidery, printing, patches and the number of placement positions. Complexity here is often underestimated at the briefing stage.
  • Quantity — larger runs spread fixed costs such as pattern making and setup across more units, which is why unit price falls as volume rises.

When a target price cannot be met, we would rather tell you which of these four to change than quietly substitute a cheaper fabric and hope it is not noticed.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Our production is flexible, so we accommodate both volume orders and smaller custom runs. There is no single blanket minimum across every category, because the sensible minimum depends on the fabric, the construction and the decoration involved — a plain tee and a lined coat do not carry the same setup burden.

The practical guidance for buyers is this: tell us the quantity you actually need, including a small pilot if that is your plan, and we will tell you whether it is workable for that specific style. A pilot batch for approval before a full rollout is a normal request, not an inconvenience.

Can you do custom packaging?

Yes. Custom packaging is part of the service, not an add-on, and it covers the layers a buyer actually needs:

  • Poly bags and inner wrapping — including printed bags if the product is going straight to a retail or e-commerce floor.
  • Hang tags and labels — brand tags, care labels, size labels and country-of-origin marking prepared to your artwork.
  • Barcodes and retail tickets — applied so the goods can be received and scanned without rework at the destination.
  • Carton marking — shipping marks, size and colour breakdown per carton, and any carton labelling your warehouse or marketplace requires.

Because we also handle group apparel for corporate events and promotional gifts, packaging to a specific brief — presentation boxes, branded sleeves, event-ready packing — is a routine part of the work rather than a special project.

Do you produce brochures and marketing materials with the order?

Printed materials such as brochures, look books and care cards can be produced alongside the garments so that product and print arrive consistent with each other. This is most useful for brands preparing a range launch, where the same imagery, fabric story and care instructions need to appear on the garment, on the tag and in the catalogue.

If you would rather handle print locally, that is equally fine — we can supply the specification details and artwork requirements so your printer has what they need.

Is stock available, and can I mix orders?

Availability depends on the item and the season, so the accurate answer is always specific to what you are asking for. The two practical points:

  • Made-to-order is the default for custom work. Many of our collections — including our made-to-order range — are produced to your specification rather than pulled from a shelf, which is what allows colour, fabric and sizing to be controlled.
  • Mixed orders are workable in the sense that you are not restricted to a single style, colour or size per order. A group apparel order commonly spans several sizes and colours, and a brand launch may combine several styles in one shipment. What matters is agreeing the breakdown up front so the packing list, cartons and inspection plan all match.

What payment and terms information should I include?

Include your destination country and port, your preferred Incoterm if you have one, and whether you are buying for retail, for an institution, or for redistribution. These determine the documentation and the delivery arrangement, and confirming them at quotation stage avoids re-quoting later.

How quickly will I hear back?

Send the four items above and you will get a specification and a quotation back. If anything in the brief is ambiguous, we will ask rather than assume — a short exchange at the start is cheaper than a correction at bulk stage.
